JAE Tech has an immediate need for a CNC Machinist. The Machinist performs set-ups and operates machine tools such as CNC Lathes, spline rollers, grinders, and induction heat treat equipment by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Understand and follow work instructions
• Inspect parts for defects
• Load and unload parts
• Change tools as required
• Monitor machine operations to detect defects or machine malfunctions
• Adjust machine as needed to maintain tolerances
• Measure and inspect parts per work instruction
• Data Entry and paperwork; Ensure complete and accurate records
• Ability to effectively and efficiently operate a minimum of six (6) different work cells
• Train CNC Machine Operators to effectively operate work cells
• Ability to complete a set up and/or change over
• Replace tool holders
• Adjust spline racks
• Ability to operate both Okuma and Fanuc controls
• Ability to operate both Fanuc and Moto Man Robots

Qualifications:

Successful candidates are self-motivated and reliable; excel in a fast paced environment, and possess the following skills and experience:

• One (1) to Five (5) years’ experience related to CNC machining
• Experience operating multiple types/styles of CNC lathes and work cells
• Ability to read and understand blue print of parts and spec sheets
• Ability to inspect parts using a scale, calipers, micrometers, and indictors and record reading on in-process inspection sheets
• Ability to calibrate various indicator and digital gages
• Ability to change tools and make adjustments to bring dimensions into print tolerance
• Basic Understanding of Fanuc, G&M codes
• Ability to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions
• Solid mechanical aptitude required
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Immediate openings on 2nd and 3rd shifts

Educational requirements:

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Associates degree or Trade School graduate with training in a technical discipline preferred.

JAE Tech, Inc. is a production CNC machining and induction operation specializing in stub shafts made from forgings and/or bar stock. Our primary focus is on drive train components such as axle shafts and stub shafts for transmissions and transfer cases. JAE Tech operates three shifts in our 37,500 square foot facility in Apple Creek, OH. Our capabilities include CNC turning, OD grinding, roll splining, and induction hardening applications for stub shafts.
